Inspired Spaces Episode 1: Peter Fallico & Karen Kirk

May 2, 2013

Karen Kirk, Canadian Living's Home & Garden editor-at-large, sat down with well-known HGTV host Peter Fallico to discuss why Peter had chosen luxury vinyl tile (LVT) from Karndean Designflooring for a recent home renovation project.

The first episode in our ‘Inspired Spaces’ series is a 1930’s renovation – including a substantial multi-level addition. In the video, Peter takes us on a tour and explains how the flooring in particular, was used to fuse the extension with the existing home.

Peter Fallico:

“One of the key elements to designing the entire basement level was considering the flooring. I’m a very practical designer, and you know hardwood is beautiful, but it probably isn’t the best choice for a lower level.” I fell in love with the product the moment I saw it! When I saw the range of styles, the colours, the quality of the product I figured it was the perfect choice for the basement. People want something rough and tough, but they still want it to look great.”
